Established to deliver our advanced Battle Management System to the Australian Army, we have diversified into cyber security, unmanned aerial systems and land systems.
In this role you will be able to use the theory you have learned in your relevant Bachelor degree and/or practical experience gained in Object Oriented Design coupled with your significant demonstrated software experience using C#, or Java or .Net as your core skills to update and help deliver our next version of the software for ELSA’s Battle Management System (BMS).
These new roles will be based in our brand new custom built Melbourne office with our team members in mind, so ideally we are seeking candidates currently located in or looking to relocate to Melbourne.
Reporting to the Software Team Functional Manager you will be a member of a small scrum team of software engineers, testers and systems engineers working together to ensure the BMS is effective and reliable on a number of different platforms. ELSA wants to continue the trend of hiring great people so we are open to considering graduates with 1 year’s exp. or up to mid-senior software engineers who are still keen to learn and want to do work that has real time impact.
Some commercial experience with the following programming languages / technologies:
- C# (.NET 4.5, WPF, WinForms) or Java (minimum 1.8)
- MSBuild, Gradle or Maven build automation experience.
- TDD, Distributed Systems, System Integration experience
Software development experience on mission / safety critical / distributed systems and a full stack development background while not essential are desirable.
Our technology stack is presently aligned to C# and .NET 4.6, however we will consider candidates confident in leveraging strong Java experience to C# / .NET.
